Through open nominations, recommendations by respected investors, executives, entrepreneurs, and the reporting by the Forbes edit team, they assemble thousands of candidates across 20 categories. Next, Forbes staff picks around 60 finalists for each field. Finally, independent industry legends select the final 30 in each category.
